TPMS 2007 Min Cooper S

The Mini Cooper has been enchanting the American automobile market for several years now. You can look online and find information on everything from how to change the oil to the tpms on a 2007 Mini Cooper S. This information deluge is a great byproduct of a craze over the beauty and elegance that is the Mini Cooper.

The tpms on your Mini Cooper S is not something unique, but it has a nice feature that some of the other automakers do not make use of. For clarification, tpms stands for tire pressure monitoring sensor, or system, depending on who you talk to. Either way it is a tiny sensor that sits between the tire and rim. The nice feature that I mentioned earlier is that the tpms on a Mini Cooper S can be changed from wheel to wheel whether they are the same size or not. Being able to use the stock sensors over is a great bonus. It is expensive enough to change rims without buying replacement sensors.

The sensors themselves are simple to remove. There is one screw on the inside of the rim. It is a torx head, so have your bit set handy. When you put the sensor back on make sure it is flush with the wheel or it will not work properly. Be sure to have your tires properly balanced before driving more than a few miles.

While the tpms on a 2007 Mini Cooper S is not a feature that is unique to this car, it is nice to be able to change the sensors from one size wheel to another. It is really nice to be able to dress your ride a little without an extremely complicated, or expensive, mess.
