Used Mini Coopers

The Mini cooper has caught fire here in the United States since about the turn of the century. Across Europe and Great Britain the Mini Cooper has been a sensation for closer to 50 years. The market for a used Mini Cooper is nearly as large as the demand for a new model. Even larger if you consider the devotion some people have for the classic Mini Cooper. To help in buying a used Mini Cooper, or a new one for that matter, there are a large number of Mini Cooper reviews available on the internet. Most are published by reputable companies.

The “Mini” was originally designed by Sir Alec Insignis for the British Motor Corporation in 1959. It quickly became the most popular British-made car ever. Eventually the Mini Cooper became available in many body types, including a jeep like buggy called the Mini Made. After the year 2000, BMW took control of the Mini Cooper. Since then the safety and value of used Mini Coopers has greatly improved. No matter who has owned the company, the Mini Cooper has been an overwhelmingly popular car.

The Mini Cooper was forced to leave the American market in the 1970’s because of stricter safety regulations and emissions standards. After an extended absence, BMW brought the car back across the ocean. They strengthened, lengthened, and widened the vehicle. Increasing its size by about 1/3. Then they added some airbags, etc. And Voila! You have a sleeker, faster car that still has the fuel economy and handling that made the Mini Cooper popular to begin with. You can buy a used Mini Cooper, complete with luxury options, at a very affordable price.

Most of the Mini Cooper reviews you’ll find anywhere have been done by top quality, well known companies or individuals. They all share one thing in common- a love for the Mini Cooper. Occasionally they refer to a more powerful car, the turbo-charged Mini Cooper S. The Mini Cooper reviews all glow over the superb handling and acceleration that have been a trademark of the “Mini” since 1959. With a resale value of $7,000 to $25,000, the used Mini Cooper definitely hold its value.

The used Mini Cooper is as large a phenomenon in the United States as any other offering that BMW has brought to this country. The Mini Cooper has a great safety record and holds its resale value very well. It is a car that is affordable for the middle-class. Combine positive reviews, good safety, affordability, and a sport car mentality and you can easily understand the Mini Cooper craze that is sweeping the world.
